A Welcoming Space for LGBTQ+ Individuals

ANIMAL is a new gay bar in Brooklyn, designed to be a safe and inclusive space for everyone. We encourage a fun, friendly atmosphere where you can express yourself authentically.

Fetish gear is welcome! However, we expect all patrons to treat each other with respect and kindness. No homophobia, transphobia, ageism, racism, sexism, violence, or other discriminatory behavior will be tolerated. If you witness or experience any such behavior, please notify a staff member immediately.

Lost and Found

We hold lost items for two weeks.

After that, items are donated to Housing Works. To inquire about lost items, please visit during our business hours, preferably outside of peak weekend hours. You can also report your lost item online for easier contact should it be located. Please bring a valid ID to verify your age.

Events and Parties

We're excited to host birthday gatherings!

To ensure a comfortable experience for all guests, we kindly ask that you refrain from bringing birthday cakes, food, balloons, and other party decorations. Private events are generally discouraged, as we prefer to keep our space open to the wider community. If you're interested in booking a photo shoot, or contributing in some other way, please contact us.

ANIMAL frequently hosts queer makers markets and welcomes new musical acts and talent.

If you'd like to participate in a queer makers market, or perform, please reach out. We're always on the lookout for engaging performances and displays!

ANIMAL is located at Metropolitan Avenue and Lorimer Street.

The bar has indoor/outdoor seating, including a small, intimate back room, perfect for cozy socializing. We're open late.

About ANIMAL

ANIMAL, a new queer bar in Greenpoint, offers a range of specialty and classic cocktails, a wide selection of beers, wines, non-alcoholic options, and ales.

Co-owned by Jim Morrison and Ashton Correa, the space is designed to be inclusive and welcoming, with separate areas for different moods, including an outdoor bar, a dance floor, and a patio. We are looking forward to a future full of engaging events and encounters!
